Feel Accepted at Phelps
The new boy is so accustomed to teachers at his old school not noticing him that he is surprised when his math teacher greets him by name outside his dorm one morning.
The young teacher asks the boy how he likes Phelps so far. They walk side-by-side to class, his teacher listening as passing students smile and nod at the boy.
For the first time he can remember, the boy feels accepted. It is a feeling that means absolutely everything.
